Grade 12 Update
Posted on 04/11/2024

Good afternoon class of 2024,

We have reached the midterm point of semester 2! If you plan to return to KSS next school year, please be sure you've connected with somebody in student services to select your courses. We are actively planning for next year and want to make sure we have you enrolled if you plan to return. For the rest of you, we are looking forward to the next few exciting months, as you wrap up your high school career! Here are some important updates for this week:

Ontario Colleges – May 1 deadline to accept

If you currently have a conditional offer to an Ontario College program for September, please remember that the deadline to accept your offer is May 1, 2024. Log in to your ontariocolleges.ca account to confirm your offer. If you do not plan to attend college, you do not need to do anything to turn down the office. It will expire in time, if you do not accept it,.

Ontario Universities Update

Next week, we will upload midterm semester 2 grades to the Ontario University Application Centre. If you are taking any courses outside of KSS (e.g. night school, elearning, etc.), please log into your OUAC account to make sure your courses are all showing on your application. If you have any questions about your application and/or transcript, reach out to Ms. M-P at [email protected], or stop by the student services office.

May 29, 2024 is the latest date all current Ontario high school students who submitted their application by the January application deadline can expect a response from an Ontario university. June 3, 2024 is the earliest date a current Ontario high school student may be required to respond to an Ontario university offer of admission and give a financial commitment (e.g. registration deposit, residence deposit, etc.).

In early June, the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC) will share a list of schools and programs who are still accepting applications for September 2024. I will include this information in this weekly email update as soon as it is available.
