DELF exam for French Language Students

We are pleased to have information regarding the 2023 DELF exams (Diplôme d’étude en langue française) for students taking French at KSS.  This is an opportunity for all FSL students- core, extended and immersion- to earn a diploma granted by the government of France that internationally recognizes the student’s level of competency in French.  Watch your email next week for upcoming deadlines and how to register.  Application forms will be due March 20, 2023.  More information to come next week- check your school email!

University March Break Open Houses

Are you still hoping to visit schools to which you’ve applied?  Maybe you are still debating about various programs?  Many schools offer open houses during the March break.  Check out these opportunities at University March Break Open Houses

Interested in University, but not quite ready?

Carleton University offers a unique entry program called the Enriched Support Program, where students who do not yet meet the requirement for University admissions (e.g. have only taken three or four 4U/4M courses or do not have the grades for traditional entry cutoffs) can apply and start their degree early with additional academic support.  This could be a great alternative for students who are considering a 5th year at KSS, but are looking at University down the road.  You may be closer than you think!

Looking for a summer job? Be your own boss with The Summer Company Program!

The Summer Company Program has been helping students aged 15-29 start and run their own businesses since 2001.  As a Summer Company entrepreneur, participants receive hands-on business mentoring from local business leaders and up to $3000 to make their dream job a reality. If you have a winning idea for starting a new business and are not afraid of hard work, this opportunity could be for you!  More information on the Summer Company Program can be found here! Application deadline- May 15.
