  • Go-to-class music at 8:15 signals the time to go to homeroom.
  • Bells will ring to signal the beginning of each Period and Break throughout the day.
  • The first period consists of two parts; Homeroom and curriculum time.

Monday March 27

  • Today's menu for lunch is Chili with a bun. Starting tomorrow, there will be free cereal in the Cafe from 7:45-8:10am daily for the remainder of the school year.
  • Hello IB and pre-IB students, please check your email for the IB and friends clothing order. If you are not an IB student and would like to order a cardigan or vest, please see Ms. Siltanen on the third floor.
  • Hey bears! Thank you so much for all your donations to those affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquake. We were beyond impressed with how much money you raised––– and SO proud to be part of such a caring and capable school. Stay tuned tomorrow to find out which class won the prize!

Clubs

  • Chess Club is today at lunch in the library! Come down to play some casual games!
  • There will be no book club meeting today.
  • DnD club is happening Mondays at lunch in Ms Penny's room and Fridays after in the library. See you there!

Athletics

  • Are you interested in playing baseball this year? There will be a meeting on Tuesday at lunch this week in the auto/welding room. See you there!
  • Hello rugby players! Please check the google classroom for a very important voting form. If you have not casted your vote yet for clothing please do so today.
  • Tennis anyone? Does love mean nothing to you? Are you interested in being part of the 2023 KSS Tennis Team? There will be an information meeting on Tuesday, March 28th in Rm. 226 at lunch. Be sure to scan the QR code on the posters around the school in order to find out more information and to sign up. If you have questions, please see Mr. Haberer.
  • Ultimate Frisbee tryouts start Monday in the gym at lunch for all Jr Girls.  Jr Boys will go on Tuesday, Sr Girls on Thursday and Sr Boys on Friday.

  • There is a Graphic Design Club meeting today after school in room 228! Stop by to learn about how you can earn volunteer hours or get paid designing at KSS.

Friday March 31st

  • Friday prayers are being hosted and held in the multi-faith room at the third break (1:10-1:20)
  • SA will be selling tickets for the Spring Dance on MONDAY during lunch at the atrium for 5$! The dance will be held on April 28th from 6-8:30 and snacks will be provided. We will also be selling SA cards! SA cards are required for entry at the dance, if you have concerns or need any financial assistance please speak to Ms. Ford or your teacher. 
  • Earth week is coming up! Eco-Circle will be running initiatives during the week of April 17th. We will be hosting a regenerative market on April 18th and 19th to share knowledge on environmental equity and creating local regenerative food systems. We invite any interested students, clubs, or groups to take part in the market and set up a booth - food, activities, sales, or donations booths are all welcome.
