School Events:

• Yesterday was International Women’s Day, a day that recognizes the achievements, strength, and contributions of women around the world. It’s a time to reflect on the progress made toward gender equality and to appreciate the women who inspire and support us in our everyday lives.

• Auditions for our schools musical review are on tonight after school in the music room! If you are looking to perform a song, or are just curious about how the process works, come on down after school today. See you there bears!

• Attention all homerooms! Affinity will be hosting a competition to see which homeroom can collect the most non-perishable food items for the Give 30 Campaign during Ramadan. The homeroom that collects the most items will win the choice of having a pizza party or timbits for the class! The competition will begin Monday, March 9th, and end Friday, March 13th. Please bring your donations to your homerooms, and send them to the atrium on Friday. 

• Hey bears, get ready for a fun time with the KSS battle of the bands on April 22nd. Join as your own band to participate, or simply watch the battle as it plays out, the choice is yours! Remember, the event is on April 22nd, so make sure you can come and have a great time! More information to come so stay tuned!

  • Finally, Friday is PJ day, wear your favourite, coziest, pajamas to end off the week.

On March 26 and 27, come brighten the day! Guide projects, lend smiles, cheer brains big and small, It’s curious, clever, and fun for us all! So sign up, jump in—be part of the flair, And help make some magic at the Science Fair! 🧪✨ If you have questions please come speak with Mr. Witherspoon in the second floor staff room.

• Hey bears, if you are looking to perform in the upcoming spring coffee house, new audition dates are now available! Come to the music room after school THIS WEEK March 11th and 13th or March 23rd and 25th to audition. All types of talents are welcome!

• Are you in Grade 12? Listen CAREFULLY! All Grade 12’s are to complete their senior quote by the end of the day Tuesday, March 10th. That’s today, Tuesday March 10! It’s your own personal mark to leave on the yearbook. You can find the link to the Google form on the KSS Yearbook Instagram bio, or contact your Grade 12 rep Ryan Bosso before the end of the day.

• Today at lunch we will have an awards ceremony for our OFSAA swimmers. All students are invited to join us at lunch in the atrium to celebrate an outstanding performance at swim OFSAA and a stellar season overall. That's today at lunch, in the atrium.

Affinity has been hosting a competition to see which homeroom can collect the most non-perishable food items for the Give 30 Campaign during Ramadan. The homeroom that collects the most items will win a pizza party! The competition began  Monday, March 9th,  with the new date ending the 27th, continuing a week after March break. Please bring your donations to your homerooms, and send them to the atrium on Friday. Every donation counts!!!
