  • Hello grade 9s! Don’t you want a little spice to add to your high school experience? WE KNOW YOU DO! Your very best link leaders will be hosting a cookie decorating and a game show event this week on Friday November the 21st, so make sure that you and all your friends come down to the atrium during lunch to have some fun. We can’t wait to see you all!
  • Reminder to ALL LINK LEADERS!  Please wear your pink shirt on November 21st.

 

  • Are you a KSS student, and have yet to find the school spirit?? WELL, WELL, WELL,  the student council is happy to announce that the theme for the upcoming dance is Night of fortune! Haven’t bought your ticket yet? Well what are you waiting for? We have awesome food, a DJ, 20 guest tickets, all for 15 dollars. BUY YOU’RE TICKET QUICK, THEY’RE SELLING OUT FAST.

Clubs: 

  • Do you want a week full of fun, food and culture? Well you’re in luck! Affinity’s culture week kicks off this week! Today, come paint your own flag and celebrate our school’s diversity! Come join the fun and celebrate culture with us all week!
    • The cafeteria is preparing a special menu for each day of the week to honor our school’s diversity! For today's menu, get ready for Arepas con queso, bean salad, chimichurri slaw

  • Thank you to all of the staff and students who volunteered this past Saturday at the holiday bazaar! You all helped to make our event a huge success again! Thank you also to all of the staff who brought their families to shop and enjoy the day with us! A reminder to all of the student volunteers to see Tracy in the office to have your volunteer hours form signed.

Athletics:

  • Any grade 9 and 10 girls who want to continue to play volleyball for KSS should come out to the Bear's practice Tuesday at lunch in the gym. Be ready to play for 11:10. See Mr. Duncan or Mrs. Kirby for more details or if you can't attend this week.

  • Affinity’s culture week shall indeed continue! Thursday is cultural showcase day! Look around for cultural booths in the main hallways at lunch and amazing individuals with their amazing cultural attire, we will also be offering free henna:)
    • The cafeteria will be serving Japanese ramen, and Ajitsuke Tamago (with marinated egg), and definitely bubble tea
      • Tomorrow, affinity will be having a free bollywood movie night with snacks in the library right after school. Be there or be SQUARE.
