Good afternoon class of 2024,       

LDSB Racialized and Indigenous Students Career Fair- Tuesday, March 5th 

Do you identify as a racialized or Indigenous student? Would you like to explore your post-secondary options? If so, you are invited to the Racialized and Indigenous Student career fair at the Tett Centre on Tuesday, March 5th. This will be a full-day trip that will include panel speakers from each post-secondary pathway and opportunities for one-on-one discussions and activities. 

 Lunch will be provided for all attendees. Connect with career pathway experts from university, college, the trades, business and the arts. All racialized and Indigenous LDSB secondary students are invited.  Register here!

If you had your grad photo taken, you are eligible to have a grad profile in the yearbook! Please remember to be brief, and to follow the instructions provided. Did you miss Grad Photos? One more opportunity March 11-15

Prestige Portraits has scheduled an extra studio time for any students who missed getting their grad photo taken, and are still interested. The studio will be during March Break; March 11-15. The location is at Queen's University, 207 Stuart Street, Rideau Building, Room 117. Here is a link for the students to sign up:   


St. Lawrence College- Speak to Students Event  

This is a virtual event that students can attend to learn more about what it’s like to be a student at SLC! We have multiple dates and times available.

E-Learning Opt Out Reminder   

This is the first year that the Ministry of Education is mandating an e-learning requirement for graduation. Any students who have not taken an e-learning course must submit a signed opt-out form in order to be on this year’s graduation list. If you have any questions, please contact the KSS Student Services team.   


Volunteer Opportunities       

Now is the time to get your volunteer hours done! All grade 12 students must complete 40 hours of community volunteer work prior to graduation in June. See upcoming volunteer opportunities below.  *Students who are new to Ontario this year should confirm the number of volunteer hours required with the KSS Student Services team.       

  •  Trillium Care Community Volunteers Needed:  The Resident Program at Trillium Care Community is seeking new volunteers to cultivate happiness for their residents!   They will be running a volunteer orientation on Saturday, March 9th at 11:00am. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in making a difference in the lives of seniors!

Additional scholarship opportunities can be explored at and If you require a reference letter, it is appropriate to reach out to your referee 2-3 weeks in advance to provide time for a letter to be written.
