As you were aware, we engaged with the integration committee, school staffs, and students regarding colours and mascots for the new school. Based on feedback from 550 students, our committee, and almost 70 staff, we have arrived at a relatively clear preference.
Colours: Black, Blue, and White
Nickname/Mascot: Royals
For the mascot, we will ensure there is no concerns or other considerations that prevent the use of that nickname. In the fall, assuming no concerns, we will continue the process of developing a mascot and again utilize feedback regarding the visual representation of Royals.
